Purpose of the presentation: To define and provide insight into various types of evaluations, including psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational.


Educational Goal:

Understand various types of evaluations, the process involved, when and why to refer, and the benefits, challenges and risks of testing and assessment.


Learning Outcomes: 

  1. Understanding the types of evaluations and the difference between testing, evaluation and assessment
  2. Clarity on when, why and why not to refer
  3. How evaluations can impact treatment plan or initiate support/interventions/accommodations


Donica Dohrenwend, PhD (she)

Founder & Director of Psychology 360 Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Donica Dohrenwend, PhD, is the founder and director of Psychology 360. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University, in Santa Barbara, CA. She also holds dual masters degrees in organizational psychology and forensic psychology, from Columbia University, New York, NY and John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York, NY, respectively. She founded Psychology 360 in 2016 after two years of post-doctoral experience in testing and assessment. Psychology 360 specializes in assessment and evaluation for diagnostic clarification.
