Mission
The mission of SDNC CAMFT is to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community of mental health professionals dedicated to enhancing professional excellence and integrity within our respective fields. We achieve this by providing dynamic and high-quality educational resources, facilitating networking and community engagement opportunities, and nurturing a culture of support and collaboration among peers.
VISION
Our long-term vision is to enrich mental health services within our community and beyond, ensuring accessible and exemplary care for all.
HISTORY AND IDENTITY |
In 1996, a group of therapists who were looking for a more convenient location for members to meet in the north part of the county formed the San Diego North County chapter of CAMFT. Originally the North County chapter of CAMFT, the name was changed a year later to become SDNC CAMFT. Successive boards have worked diligently to provide chapter members with opportunities for professional growth, networking and outreach events to the community at large. | Over the years, SDNC CAMFT has been a place for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) and other members of the mental health community to come together to support one another. Members can obtain their CE credits for license renewal by attending monthly CE events. SDNC-CAMFT holds monthly chapter events (no events in July/August), and members generally earn 1.5 - 2 CE credits per event. Required credits including Law & Ethics, Telehealth, and Suicide Assessment and Prevention courses are offered yearly. | SDNC CAMFT's Board of Directors includes: Directors: President, Past President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer; and Directors at Large: Professional Development, Membership, Sponsorship/Outreach, and Team 3000/Prelicensed. Annual elections for these positions are held at our June chapter meeting. Board meetings take place monthly, every 3rd Friday, from 10:00am - 12:00pm via Zoom.
